JEDDAH — The Bahraini Consulate held a celebration here Sunday evening to mark the 41st anniversary of the country’s National Day.



Acting Consul General Ibrahim Al-Meslmany, Deputy Consul General Mohammed Ahmad Al-Hejazy and other diplomats received guests.



Consuls general and ambassadors from Gulf countries, Arab and non-Arab countries as well as many major Saudi and Bahraini workers, businessmen and the media attended the ceremony at Jeddah Hilton.



The ceremony began with the Bahraini and Saudi national anthems.



Al-Meslmany, Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Makkah Mohammad Ahmad Tayeb and other consuls general from Gulf States cut the celebration cake.



Al-Meslmany congratulated the Saudi government and Saudi people on the successful surgery and recovery of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.



Dec. 16 marks the 41st National Day and the 13th anniversary of King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa’s accession to the throne.



It marks the continuity and achievements of the country in all sectors and fields based on the leadership and vision of King Hamad.



Some of the guests included Algerian Consul General Saleh Atiyah, Acting Consul General of Turkey Fikret Ozer, Consul General of Sudan Khaled Al-Taras, Consul General of Palestine Dr. Emad Sha’at and Joseph Leavitt, vice consul of political and economic affairs for the United States.
