JEDDAH — King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and the visiting King Muhammad VI of Morocco, Wednesday discussed ways and means to boost bilateral cooperation between Riyadh and Rabat in all fields so as to serve the interests of the people of the two countries.

The two leaders emphasized warm and cordial relations between the two countries. They also discussed the latest events and developments in the Arab and international arenas with particular emphasis on the Palestinian issue and the situation in Syria.

On arrival at the meeting, the Moroccan monarch was received by King Abdullah, Prince Mish’al Bin Abdul Aziz, Chairman of the Allegiance Commission, and Prince Muqrin Bin Abdul Aziz, adviser to and special envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

King Abdullah also hosted a luncheon in honor of King Muhammad and his delegation.

King Muhammad is here as part of the first leg of a tour that will also take him to three other Gulf states as well as to Jordan.

Earlier on arrival at Jeddah airport, King Muhammad was received by Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah region, several Princes, Cabinet ministers and high-ranking civil and military officials.

Separately, several Saudi ministers held a joint meeting with advisers and ministers accompanying the Moroccan monarch. Addressing the meeting, Sheikh Saleh Bin Abdul Aziz Aal Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance, stressed that bilateral relations between the two countries are at the highest levels. — SG/SPA
