JEDDAH –– Jeddah Atelier for Fine Arts launched this season’s art activities at the “The Place” gallery Wednesday, displaying the artworks of artists from Saudi Arabia and Egypt.



Artists who participated with their work from the Saudi Arabia were Taha Sabban, Fahad Hejailan, Abdullah Hamas, Abdullah Idris, Shalimar Sharbatly, Hanan Bahamdan and Mashael Al Kulaib; and the Egyptian artists including Shaker El Madawy, Hassan Rashed, Hassan Al Sharq, Emad Rizk, Ali Hassan, Nevin Refai and Mohsen Abul Azm.



“We in Jeddah Atelier chose to begin the new cultural season with The Place. At this exhibition, we have 14 artists showcasing diverse themes, trends and stripes,” said Hesham Qandeel, manager of Jeddah Atelier.



According to Qandeel, the paintings were in perfect synchronization with respect to color, design and theme. He further said that artists have an intimate relationship with their hometown and art, and that is what they aim to display in their work. — SG
