Why are so many suicide bombers Saudi? It is a strange thing. Recently, a Syrian man and a Filipino female tailor were arrested for planning a terrorist act. The Syrian was responsible for preparing explosives and fixing them to a belt that would be strapped around the waist of a suicide bomber who would most likely be Saudi. Why is terrorism planned by non-Saudis and carried out by Saudis?

This is not a coincidence and that is for sure. After all, Saudis are no different from people of other nationalities. In fact, the image of Saudis has been targeted for many years by radical and extremist organizations of different types. It is not something new. Since the unification of the country and the oil boom, Saudis have been envied by many who believe that Saudi Bedouins live in tents in the desert, and are unworthy of the resources generated from oil and that such resources only belong to civilized people.

This is the picture I see every time a Saudi man blows himself up. I saw it when the New York Twin Towers were hit by two airplanes, I saw it in Iraq when Saudis blew themselves up, and I still see it in Iraq and Syria. It seems that Saudi youth are fuel for the killing machines operated by others.

Young Saudi men involved in terrorist acts should come to their senses and stop and think for a minute. They should know better than this and should not let others use them. If they do not wake up, then they deserve what happens to them.
