The muscle-bound superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) are coming to the Kingdom for the second time in two years, this October, bringing their flamboyant and grandiose style of wrestling to Jeddah for three days.

The King Abdullah Sport City complex will host bouts between WWE wrestlers from October 8-10, starting at 8pm each night.

Swiss professional wrestler, Antonio Cesaro, is currently signed to WWE, and will be part of the line-up of wrestlers scheduled to perform in Jeddah.

Cesaro said between 15 to 20 WWE superstars, including Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, John Cena, and others would take part in the three-day wrestling event.

He said that WWE came to Riyadh last year, and as they are trying to expand and find new markets, they decided to try Jeddah this year.

“In Riyadh there was quite a lot of people,” Cesaro said. “I do not know their exact numbers but there was a couple of thousand, or even more. Coming back to Saudi Arabia shows that there is a demand for WWE.”

Cesaro, who says he enjoyed his experience last year in Riyadh, is looking forward visiting the Kingdom again and bringing WWE to the Middle East.

Professional wrestling has a strong presence in Saudi Arabia, with its flagship weekly show, WWE Raw, broadcast on MBC and the Abu Dhabi Sport Channel, and WWE SmackDown on the Orbit Showtime Network.

Tickets are now available online at www.ticketmaster.ae, for those looking to see the action first hand.

Ticket prices start at AED150 and go up to AED2940 for exclusive ringside seating.

WWE has already toured several other Gulf countries, including Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
