JEDDAH — Shahid Amin and his family hosted a farewell lunch in honor of Pakistan Consul General Aftab Ahmad Khokher and Mrs. Afshan Khokher at  Byblos Restaurant Jeddah.



The luncheon was attended by dignitaries and friends, that included  Sheikh Yasin Alireza — Patron Jeddah Cricket League, Samir Nawar — CEO & President Petromin, Kalim Ansari — Director IPP &  Syed Mussarat Khalil, accompanied by their better halves.



All  wished  the outgoing  Consul General Khokher a continued success in the new post as Pakistan Ambassador to Lebanon. Mohammed Shoukat — Consul General of Great Britain, Sheikh Zainal Alireza — Patron JCL & CCCB, Khaled Almaeena Editor in large Saudi Gazette, Tariq Al Maeena, Samir Maddah, Housam Turk, Naji Dewedar, Jacques Gouws, Dammes Ledeboer, Dr. Akbar Niazi, Azad Iqbal, Tariq Asghar, Imtiaz Bhutto were also present.



Khalid Almaeena remarked that Shahid Amin is synonymous with Saudi Arabian Cricket and well deservedly known as Baba-e-Cricket Saudi Arabia ( Father of Cricket of Saudi Arabia).



Sheikh Zainal  Alireza, after wishing Khokher well, emphasized that there is one and only one Shahid Amin that will remain in the history books of Saudi Arabia.



Sheikh Yasin Alireza praised Khokher for his work here while also lauding Amin for his efforts in nurturing cricket in the Kingdom. He is the one of the most distinguished personalities professionally or passion-wise, while also being highly trustworthy and conscientious person, Yasin Alireza said of Amin.



Samir Nawar said, “I am honored to be a friend of Shahid Amin.”



Khokher, in his address, noted that he had had a very good innings here in the Kingdom and would be going to a neighboring country on promotion. He also praised Amin for his work here. “I am proud to have known an intellectual like Shahid Amin, who is loved by all.”



Shahid Amin  President & CEO -  Jeddah Cricket League & Central Cricket Control Board,  presented a JCL &  CCCB plaque  to Khokher on behalf of  the Patrons – Sheikh Zainal Alireza, Sheikh Yasin Alireza and Khaled Almaeena.



Aftab Ahmed Khokher and Afshan Khokher thanked the hosts — Mr. & Mrs. Shahid Amin — for hosting a lovely luncheon and then invited them to visit Lebanon as their personal  guests.
