Man kills son, shoots wife

A man suffering from mental health issues was arrested by police on Sunday after shooting and killing his son and also shooting at his wife. Spokesman for Hail Police, Capt. Sami Al-Shammary, said police received reports around 5:30 a.m. of a man shooting and killing his 11-year-old son and shooting his 28-year-old wife three times, injuring her thigh.

HAIL — A man suffering from mental health issues was arrested by police on Sunday after shooting and killing his son and also shooting at his wife. Spokesman for Hail Police, Capt. Sami Al-Shammary, said police received reports around 5:30 a.m. of a man shooting and killing his 11-year-old son and shooting his 28-year-old wife three times, injuring her thigh. The man, in his 30s, is alleged to have shot his son and wife in their family home before police were able to arrest him. Al-Shammary said police had also seized the murder weapon. The man was registered at a local mental health hospital. He has six other children.
