JEDDAH — The Municipality of Jeddah seized and destroyed large quantities of food products from commercial shops south of Jeddah.



Muhammad Al-Zahrani, head of the south Jeddah municipality branch, said a committee from the municipality, police and Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice closed down 480 stalls in Al-Rahmaneya and Al-Dirah markets over numerous violations.



They also seized and destroyed 67 tons of food products that were on its way to distribution.



The municipality urged the public to cooperate with them and report any violations by calling 940.
