JEDDAH — The municipality in Jeddah has launched a campaign on the Corniche that aims to increase public awareness on keeping the environment clean and maintaining public facilities with the participation of 50 members of the volunteer group Friends of Jeddah.

Participants in this campaign, carrying the title “I care for cleanliness because I love Jeddah”, signed on the board promising that they will do their part in keeping the environment clean.

The campaign provided a number of containers for recycling purposes. Ahmad Al-Malki, coordinator of Friends of Jeddah program, said the initiative will continue on Jeddah Corniche and is divided in two phases. The first phase will take place in the north Corniche and the second phase will start in the middle Corniche later on.
