JEDDAH — The Egyptian consul general Adel El-Alfy and Egyptian community in Jeddah held a goodbye celebration for Gamal Gazar, General Manager of Egypt Air in Saudi Arabia, at the Jeddah Trident Hotel last week.

Gazar, who was leaving after completing his years of job assignment in the Kingdom, thanked the whole team saying that he wouldn’t be able to achieve success without their support.

“My success is also attributed to our Saudi partners in KSA such as the Saudi Civil Aviation and Saudi Ground Services Company. I expect this support to be given to my colleague Ahmad Shahin who is taking over,” he said.

“With all the facilities provided to Egypt Air, which in turn resulted in accelerating the performance and achievements in the required work. Egypt Air won the praise of everyone,” Gazar added.

Egyptian Consul Adel El-Alfy welcomed the guests and said: “We worked together in low and high seasons which is always the case in Jeddah. Gazar was always helpful and cooperative and used creative and innovative management tools, especially during Haj and Umrah seasons. He was always alert to any complications or problems that might happen. I wish him all the best and success in his new post.”

El-Alfy also welcomed Ahmad Shahin, the new regional manager of Egypt Air. Said Yahya, president of the board of directors of the Egyptian community group in Saudi Arabia, commended Gazar for being active and keen in his work as well as in serving, helping and supporting the Egyptian community in Jeddah.

Shahin, the incoming general manager of Egypt Air in Saudi Arabia, promised to do all efforts for Egypt Air and to apply more strategies and development plans.

Shahin worked as general manager for local and international units in Egypt Air in Cairo and was pilgrimage mission head for the past two years.
