HAIL — Five members of the same family suffocated and almost died when a fire broke out in their house, Civil Defense spokesman Maj. Gen. Nafeh Al-Harbi said. Although heavy smoke was billowing from the house, firefighters entered the building quickly and evacuated all members of the family. They were all taken to hospital. Investigations showed the cause of the fire was a kerosene heater.
