JEDDAH — The Pakistan Haj volunteers group (PHVG) successfully completed its Haj operation this year by providing various facilities to the pilgrims, according to Wasim Bukhari, in-charge, PHVG Media Cell.

 

He said about 1,300 volunteers from Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, Madinah, Makkah and other cities of the Kingdom volunteered their services to in this year’s operation to serve the pilgrims during Haj. 

 

They provided assistance to the pilgrims, particularly from South Asian countries, in finding their offices in Mina and also their tents. 

 

They also assisted lost pilgrims to reach their destinations, he said.

 

Bukhari said: “The PHVG volunteers enabled the sick pilgrims to get medical help and reach health facilities. PHVG also introduced a new service for the sick and elderly pilgrims this year. The PHVG volunteers took the sick and elderly people to Haram on wheel chairs to perform Tawaf-e-Ziyarah and Sa'i.

 

A group of volunteers were near and around Haram to look after pilgrims. Moreover, on 12th Zulhajj, various teams were deployed in Aziziah district to guide the pilgrims coming from Mina to reach their buildings."

 

PHVG also used vehicles in Aziziah district to fetch and drop the pilgrims at their destinations.

 

The pilgrims from different countries praised the services of PHVG.
